Acte Préalable

The company was founded in 1996, and its main goal is to promote Polish classical music, as evidenced by the following figures: over 500 CDs available in the catalogue, including many hundreds of Polish composers, many of whom have been recorded for the first time and are not available anywhere else. The albums are recorded by leading Polish artists, providing an excellent introduction to Polish musical culture. The album covers feature outstanding works, mainly of Polish painting and contemporary photography. The booklet essays, written by eminent specialists, in many cases remain a primary source of knowledge. The company's recordings are popular among music admirers worldwide and are well-reviewed by the international press.

From March 2000 to March 2017, the publisher also issued a monthly magazine for music lovers, Muzyka21.
