Author of Texts in Sections: Life: Timeline, Music Writer and Editor: Publications (Notes), Composer: Introduction, Dodecaphony, Commentaries on Compositions, Bibliography and Discography

A musicologist and professor of humanities affiliated with the Institute of Musicology at the University of Warsaw, where she has served as director since 2020. She is a member of the Council for Scientific Excellence, Editor-in-Chief of the Polish Musicological Yearbook [Polski Rocznik Muzykologiczny], and a member of the Advisory Board for the book series "Musical Cultures of the Twentieth Century" (Routledge).

Her research interests are focused around the music of the XXth and XXIst centuries. Author of several books: Dodekafonia i serializm w twórczości kompozytorów polskich XX wieku [Dodecaphony and Serialism in the Works of Polish Composers of the 20th Century] (2001), Sonorystyka w twórczości kompozytorów polskich XX wieku [Sonoristic in the Works of Polish Composers of the 20th Century] (2010), „Piszę tylko muzykę”. Kazimierz Serocki ["I Only Write Music": Kazimierz Serocki] (2022), a critical source edition of this composer's writings (2022), and numerous research articles.

She is also engaged in the dissemination of music knowledge, particularly concerning contemporary Polish compositional output, for which she received the Honorary Award of the Polish Composers' Union (2014). She serves on the Main Board of the Polish Composers' Union and is the Vice-Chair of its Musicological Section.
