An eponymous piece by Koffler was played by Leopold Münzer during a radio concert titled ‘Present-Day Music from Lwów’, broadcast on 22 May 1937 (‘Music on the Radio. Weekly Report, Czas, 24 May 1937, 10).
The Czas reporter commented: ‘the most favourable impression was made by Józef Koffler’s Sonatina for piano (by far more noteworthy than his Nocturne)’.
While no direct musical characteristics of this composition are documented, one may reasonably infer that it aligned stylistically with Koffler's other works from the mid-1930s. The identity of the performer and the work's title suggest a possible derivation from or connection to the middle, slow movement of the Piano Concerto Op. 13 dedicated to Münzer—a work that remained unperformed during the composer's lifetime.
