Koffler is appointed to the jury of the 1931 State Music Prize (along with Karol Szymanowski, Stanisław Wiechowicz, Stanisław Niewiadomski, Jan Głowacki, Mateusz Gliński, and Tadeusz Joteyko). After holding deliberations in Warsaw, the jury awards the prize to Jan Maklakiewicz.
Koffler’s Groteska [Grotesque] is performed at Warsaw’s State Music Conservatoire as one of the eight works selected in a competition for a dance piece held by the Polish Composers’ Association. The dancers are a school ensemble directed by Janina Mieczyńska.
Koffler’s Mała Serenada Radiowa [Little Radio Serenade] for oboe, clarinet and bassoon is premiered on Polish Radio.
Koffler serves on the Citizen Committee of the ‘Chopin Days’ in Lwów.
Along with Grzegorz Fitelberg and Adolf Chybiński, Koffler serves on the jury of a vocal competition held by the Society of Music and Opera Lovers.
Thanks to the efforts of Wanda Gałuszkiewicz, Lwów’s PTM Conservatoire opens a branch in Stryj, where Koffler teaches theory.
Der Wiener Tag reports on Lwów Opera’s preparations for the world premiere of Koffler’s ballet I. K. C. (a title alternative to Alles durch M.O.W.). The production is directed by Breslau City Opera ballet mistress Valeria Kratina, under the music direction of Adam Dołżycki. The Polish premieres of Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi and Wilhelm Grosz’s tragedy Baby in der Bar are scheduled for the same night.
Koffler’s 15 Veränderungen einer 12-Tonreihe for string orchestra, Op. 9a, is awarded and selected for performance during the inaugural concert of the 11th ISCM festival in Amsterdam. The decision is taken by a jury consisting of: Roger Sessions (USA), Max Butting (Germany), Gian Francesco Malipiero (Italy), Vaclav Talich (Czechoslovakia), and Willem Pijper (The Netherlands).
