Wojciech (Adalbert) Gołuchowski
(1888–1960)
landowner and politician

He was a grandson of Agenor Gołuchowski (who was Austria’s minister of the interior and governor of Galicia) and son of Agenor Gołuchowski Jr (Austria-Hungary’s Außenminister, i.e. minister of foreign affairs). Wojciech graduated in law from Lemberg (Lwów) University. He served as an officer in the Austrian army during World War I, then in the Polish Army in the Polish-Bolshevik war from 1919. In 1928–30 he was the governor of Lwów Province, in 1935–38 – a Polish senator from the Lwów district.
