This building was built in 1898–1900 in the Jewish district, in the Hermann passage at 23 Słoneczna St.
It had an auditorium seating slightly over a thousand people and was co-shared with the Colosseum Cinema from 1908 onwards.

The theatre specialised in operettas and music comedies. It was also a cabaret stage. In 1927, the theatre premiered Jakub Preger’s play Der Nisojen (Temptation) with music by Józef Koffler. The programme of the 1932 ‘Night of Classical Dances’ included Koffler’s folk dances (including a Hasidic one).
