Muzyk Wojskowy (No. 3) prints an anonymous text about Józef Koffler as an artist, including a list of his works (up to Op. 7). The author writes:
Unfortunately, his daily work prevents the composer from fully dedicating himself to writing music. Laborious teaching work does not allow him to focus his strength and will on composition. Throughout the [academic] year, he collects a hoard of melodic and harmonic ideas in his soul, which he can only commit to paper during the 10 to 12 weeks of his summer holidays, when he makes use of concepts jotted down over the year.

Echo Karpackie cultural weekly announces Koffler’s participation in a banquet held on 12 February in the Sokół’s [gymnastics organisation] hall in Stryj, coupled with the presentation of a revue specially composed for that purpose, under the music direction of Jakub Mund. ‘A blues has been composed specially for the banquet by Prof. Dr Koffler.’ ‘Some of the dances have been written by Prof. Dr Koffler specially for the Echo Karpackie banquet,’ we read in the announcements.

Dawid Herman, directing the productions of the ‘Vilnius troupe’, stages Jakub Preger’s dramatic legend Der nisojen [Temptation] in Lwów. Koffler writes music based on Polish and Jewish motifs for this production.

Polish Radio Warsaw afternoon concert broadcast at 5.30 pm includes Koffler’s Fantasia on the Theme of Niewiadomski’s Song, performed by Polish Radio Orchestra under Jan Dworakowski.

Arnold Schönberg writes a letter to Koffler from Vienna, in response to the scores sent by Koffler and the dedication of 15 Variations. Schönberg writes:
I haven’t had the time to examine them in detail yet. You surely know how time-consuming [such a study] can be. But though I only saw a part of [the scores], I can see you are knowledgeable about 12-note transformations. The variations I have looked at in more detail, and I consider them very good.
