He learned at the GTM (Galician Music Society’s) Conservatoire in Lwów (before 1914) and later with Jerzy Lalewicz at Vienna’s Academy of Music (till 1919). He made his solo debut in 1920 in Vienna and won an honourable mention in the First International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (1927). In 1928–29 he taught a piano class at the PTM (Polish Music Society’s) Conservatoire in Lwów. He was a member of the ISCM (International Society for Contemporary Music), Polish Section, Lwów Branch (operating in 1930–33).

According to its statutes, the aims of this organization included, among others, 'the intellectual and moral ennoblement of its members,' while its activities encompassed both internal initiatives (debates, lectures, social gatherings) and active support for orphans, the poor, and the sick.
His pupils included the Third Chopin Competition (1937) participants. Jan Gorbaty and Fryderyk Portnoj.
Münzer and Józef Koffler were friends. They may have met back in Vienna (where Münzer had lived until 1920 or later, and Koffler had studied in 1914–16 and 1920–23) or already in Lwów (where they both taught at the same school for more than a decade). In 1929, Münzer was a witness at Józef and Róża Koffler’s marriage ceremony, held in the presence of a Lwów rabbi.
including the world premiere of Sonatina, Op. 12 (Lwów, 1930) and a radio broadcast (1931). It was to Münzer that Koffler dedicated his Concerto pour piano, Op. 13 (1932). After the 1936 concert of Béla Bartók’s music in Lwów, Münzer held a reception at his flat, in which both Bartók and the Kofflers took part. In 1937 at Lwów’s Grand Theatre, Münzer played the solo part in Ludwig van Beethoven’s Piano Concerto in C Minor, Op. 37 during a concert whose programme also included Koffler’s Symphony No. 2, Op. 17.
In 1940–41, Münzer taught a piano class at the LGK (Lviv State Conservatoire) established by the Soviet authorities. Under the German occupation, Münzer was murdered at Janowska concentration camp in 1943.
