Koffler writes another letter to Schönberg:

Dear Maestro! 

I hasten to inform you that the first special morning lecture (on 26 March) of the newly-founded Lwów [branch of] the [International] Society for Contemporary Music, which has more than a hundred members, and whose programming leaders are the concert pianist Leopold Münzer and myself, was dedicated to your oeuvre. Vienna’s Kolisch-Streichquartett performed [your] Quartet in D-Minor as well as the first and second movements of Quartet in F-Sharp Minor, after my introductory lecture about you, your output and its significance. One can hardly describe how moved our audience was. We intend to present all of your works systematically to our listeners. Encouraged by Mr Kolisch, I take the liberty to inform you about this event. Let me assure you of my boundless dedication and reverence.

Gazeta Poranna prints the following announcement:

Dr Józef Koffler, Professor of the Conservatoire, has returned. Contact at 19 Mochnackiego St., phone no. 80-71.

In a letter to Adolf Chybiński, Koffler informs him that he is unable to meet the deadline for the promised work due to ill health (‘gastritis’, ‘dental torment’) and his duties as ‘head of the district electoral commission’ (most likely for the early parliamentary election, to be held on 30 November). 

The first issue of a new music journal comes out: Orkiestra [The Orchestra], ‘a monthly dedicated to the propagation of musical culture among orchestras and music societies in Poland’. Koffler becomes its editor in chief. As the editorial ‘Od Redakcji’ explains, the periodical’s objective is to provide comprehensive assistance to ‘the wide masses of orchestral musicians’. The editorial office is located in Przemyśl at 11 Smolki St.

The Qualifying Committee of ISCM, Polish Section (members: Roman Chojnacki, Zbigniew Drzewiecki, Mateusz Gliński, Jerzy Lefeld, Felicjan Szopski, and Leopold Münzer) meets and selects works to be submitted to the main ISCM Qualifying Committee in Cambridge. Koffler’s String Trio is one of the eleven recommended pieces of music.
