Koffler writes to Alban Berg:
Dear Sir!
Please find enclosed a copy of my 15 Variations, dedicated to Arnold Schönberg. In connection with this work, I received a letter from Schönberg – one that I consider as one of the most beautiful experiences in my life. I am sending you this message because the Polish Section of the International Society for Contemporary Music has submitted the piece [the Variations], along with my String Trio (published by Universal Edition), to the international jury in London. Without intending to influence you in any way as a jury member, I am sending the works so that you can examine them in peace rather than amid the hustle and bustle of the final jury meeting. Please forgive me the inconvenience. I only take the liberty to send you my heartfelt greetings and words of deepest respect. Koffler
The ISCM Qualifying Committee (Alban Berg – Austria, Alfredo Casella – Italy, Désiré Defauw – Belgium, Charles Koechlin – France, Grzegorz Fitelberg – Poland) qualifies Koffler’s String Trio for performance during the nearest ISCM festival, along with three other pieces by Polish composers: Jan Maklakiewicz’s Japanese Songs, Roman Palester’s Symphonic Music, and Karol Szymanowski’s Kurpie Songs.
Polish Radio broadcasts a concert dedicated to Koffler’s output. The programme comprises String Trio, Op. 10 (perf. ISCM Lwów branch ensemble), Ballet Music, Op. 7, 15 Variations, Op. 9, and Sonatina, Op. 12 (perf. Leopold Münzer). An introductory lecture titled ‘Constructivism in Contemporary Polish Music’ is given by Stefania Łobaczewska.
String Trio, Op. 10 is performed at the 9th ISCM Festival in Oxford as a piece selected by the ISCM jury (perf. André Mangeot – violin, Eric Bray – viola, Jack Shinebourne – cello).
Neues Wiener Tagblatt, Der Tag, and Wiener Allgemeine Zeitung report that Koffler is working on a dance spectacle titled Alles durch M. O. W. for two solo voices and mixed choir with speakers and film projection, to a libretto by Alfred Russt.
On his return from England, Koffler presents the fruits of his success in an interview for Express Wieczorny daily:
Apart from the press making me a familiar name in Europe and America, I hope that my music will be taken up more frequently, especially my symphonic and chamber works. My symphony is to be performed in Frankfurt, London, and Berlin, while the cantata 'Die Liebe' has been ordered for broadcast by many radio stations. Possibly most importantly, I have been commissioned to write a ballet for Berlin Opera.
After the Managing Board of Polish Composers’ Association (headed by Ludomir Różycki) has handed in its resignations, Koffler becomes a member of the new board presided over by Stanisław Niewiadomski (with Piotr Perkowski as treasurer and Jan Maklakiewicz as secretary general).
During a symphonic concert held by Lwów’s PTM to commemorate Mieczysław Sołtys’s death anniversary, Henryk Czapliński performs Grieg’s Berceuse ‘in Koffler’s original instrumentation’ as an encore. On the previous day, Koffler appeared on the air to present a radio talk on Mieczysław Sołtys as a composer and his place in Lwów’s musical life.

In this work, the composer proposes an original method of teaching modulation derived from Hugo Riemann's dualistic theory and employing his notation system. The method is designed to provide substantial assistance even to less gifted students.
