Koffler replies to an invitation to support the project of establishing a Weltzentum fur jüdische Musik in Palestine. He expresses interest in the institution’s foundation but politely refuses to join the organising work due to poor health which does not allow ‘distractions’ and to his duties as a composer – a task that, he believes, to which he will not be able to dedicate himself for much longer. He also expresses his hope that the centre will inform him about its progress.

In a postcard to Osterc, Koffler expresses interest in gramophone records, asking his friend for advice from his own experience.

Nowa Rzeczpospolita daily reports on a case that outraged the musical circles and led Koffler to sue Dr Schafer for defamation.

In a conversation with musician Zofia Lissa, PhD, concerning support for MTW conservatoire from the MWRiOP [Ministry of Religious Affairs and Public Education] Dr Schafer, a well-known Lwów-based music connoisseur in charge of the Małopolska Music Society (MTW) and the conservatoire it maintains, supposedly claimed that Dr Józef Koffler, a music teacher, would obtain it all [i.e. such support] since he is a close acquaintance of Dr Stefan Lidzki-Śledziński, the main MWRiOP executive for musical affairs. Furthermore, he supposedly added that Dr Koffler explained his connections by the fact that he had assisted Mr Lidzki-Śledziński during his studies at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, where the latter obtained a doctoral degree from the philosophical department in 1922. A rumour arose, nobody knows how, that Mr Śledziński’s doctoral dissertation had in fact been written by Dr Józef Koffler.

Koffler’s Symphony No. 3, Op. 21a is presented at the 16^th ISCM Festival in London (cond. Hermann Scherchen). Koffler is probably present in London with his wife Róża. The official delegates of the ISCM Polish Section are Zbigniew Drzewiecki, Michał Kondracki, Roman Palester, and Barbara Podoska.
